WOTSALA
Wotsala is an improvised world music quartet formed by four exceptional musicians from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds: Greek multi-instrumentalist Andreas Paragioudakis, Swiss multi-instrumentalist Marcello Wick, Palestinian percussionist Tony Majdalani and SWISS MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST Rebecca Primus.
Together, they weave an intricate tapestry of sound—drawing from global traditions while constantly reshaping them in the moment. With a rich palette of instrument combinations and striking vocal interplay, Wotsala creates immersive sonic landscapes that guide listeners into uncharted emotional terrain.
From ancient catacombs and sacred churches to intimate theatres, Wotsala’s performances are tailored to the acoustics and spirit of each space, turning every concert into a revelatory experience. The ensemble understands performance as a shared ritual, where the audience becomes an integral part of a living sound mosaic. In this dynamic exchange, boundaries dissolve—between stage and listener, tradition and innovation, form and freedom.
Wotsala invites you into a space where sound breathes, transforms, and connects.
PANDORAS DREAM
AFTER THE NOISE
The sound project PANDORAS DREAM is a moving musical collaboration between Greek musician Andreas Paragioudakis, German double bassist Florian King, and Palestinian percussionist and vocal artist Tony Majdalani. This innovative project presents a unique fusion of soundscapes and songs based on the poem “After the Noise” by Swiss author and painter Lucie Schaeren.
“After the Noise” illuminates the profound themes of war and peace and invites the audience to engage with the emotional and social implications of these universal experiences. The musicians create an atmospheric soundscape that is both thought-provoking and comforting, conveying a sense of hope.
Andreas Paragioudakis brings his diverse musical influences and keen sense of storytelling to the project, while Florian King adds delicate yet powerful accents with his double bass and electronic soundscapes. Tony Majdalani complements the ensemble with his unique percussion techniques and expressive voice, which underscores the emotional depth of the lyrics.
The combination of poetry and music in “After the Noise” creates a haunting experience that encourages listeners to reflect on the challenges and hopes in a world marked by conflict.
ZALO TRIO
ZALO Trio is an international formation led by Greek composer and multi-instrumentalist Andreas Paragioudakis.
In collaboration with Palestinian percussionist and singer Tony Majdalani and Sri Lankan-born lyra player and singer Rashini Wickramasinghe, ZALO creates simple yet powerful soundscapes that reflect the diversity of the musicians' musical experience and put the audience in an archaic, dreamy mood.
Majdalani's unique sonic arsenal, his incomparable playing and voice, Wickramasinghe's lyricism and singing, and Paragioudaki's keen sense of musical narrative and its tensions have the power to take the listener on a soundtrack of their own selves. All of the original compositions of „KUKOSALI“ are images and moods that aim to do nothing but touch people's hearts. ZALO Trio's debut album "KUKOSALI" is expected to be released at the end of May 2025.
